If you can swim at least 100 yards/meters comfortably and put your face in the water, you can start Swim Your First Mile. Need for Speed suits swimmers who already swim short sets comfortable and want to sharpen their sprint power and control.

Each program schedules three workouts per week, about 30-60 minutes per session. You can shift days to match your calendar.

Yes, every workout provides both yard and meter conversions so you can swim in a 25-yard, 25-meter, or 50-meter pool. Because some sets include 25s, you’ll just need to make minor adjustments—like using the pool’s mid-point if available—when training in a 50-meter pool.
